Pleasantville Block Party 2024

Block Party 2024!

Get ready for an amazing day! This is a fantastic chance for local businesses and residents to come together for a Community Day and celebrate everything that makes Pleasantville a wonderful place to live.

Just like last year, Wheeler Avenue and part of Washington Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic. On Washington Avenue, from 1 pm to 6 pm, we’ll have a Car Show, a DJ, Kids Face Painter, and plenty of Vendors.

The fun kicks off on Wheeler Avenue at 1 pm with the Kid’s Fun Zone, Kid’s Face Painter, Live Music, and the opportunity to Sip and Stroll while visiting our fabulous vendors on Wheeler Avenue.

FREE Vendor Registration if you’re a member. If you’re not a member, the registration fee is $100. Register and read the vendor directions and submit the required documents by September 6th.

Become a Sponsor and get your business promoted in many exciting ways! To secure your spot in all promotional materials, please submit the form and payment by August 30th.

We truly appreciate your support for the 2024 Pleasantville Block Party. Your participation is key to making this community event a huge success!

Foley's Poker Run 2024

Foley's Poker Run, Saturday, April 20th

There’s still time to rally your friends and join in on the fun. Don’t have a full team of four? No worries! Just shoot me a message, and I’ll connect you with others who are also seeking teammates.

Here’s how the Poker Run works:

  • All you need is a comfortable pair of walking shoes, a creative costume (there’s an award for the best-dressed team!), and an appetite for some delicious offerings from our local restaurants.

  • Each team of four will visit five participating restaurants, where you’ll purchase one item from each establishment (whether it’s a soda, snack, lunch, or perhaps even a drink). In return, you’ll receive a sealed white envelope containing a playing card.

  • Upon reaching the final stop at Foley’s, you’ll hand in your white envelopes. They’ll be opened there and then, and we’ll determine who has the best poker hand based on the playing cards inside. Exciting, right?

This year, the funds we collect will be directed to Pleasantville SEPTA. This organization, the Special Education Parent Teacher Association, plays a crucial role in providing support and resources to families with children who have learning, developmental, or emotional needs within our school district.

Now, all that’s left to do is gather your teams of four and reach out to Anthony at aamato23@yahoo.com to secure your spot!

Additionally, we’re on the lookout for donations from our local businesses to contribute as raffle prizes. If you’re interested in supporting our cause by donating, please get in touch!

Let’s make this Poker Run a memorable and impactful event for our community. See you there!
