The main purpose of the Chamber is to promote its members and their products, services and community projects to the larger community. We accomplish this in a variety of ways including:
New businesses are welcomed to Pleasantville with a ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by the Mayor of Pleasantville, Chamber of Commerce president and filmed by Pleasantville Community TV (PCTV) for broadcast on Cablevision Channel 76, Verizon 36 and available online at pctv76.org.
The Chamber holds several member networking events, 5-6pm, a year at a member location. In addition to Chamber business and guest speakers, meetings bring members together for fellowship, networking and the exchange of ideas and news.
Sent bi-monthly or as needed to more than 500 Chamber members business leaders and local government officials and shared with Community and Facebook groups with 6K+ members, serves as an extension of information to inform readers of current business, local news and resources in Westchester County.
As part of its mission to promote good business practices, the Chamber presents an annual award to the member who consistently demonstrates business excellence, vision, innovation, leadership and community spirit. The process involves the entire business community and the winner is honored at a reception in April.
To begin the selection process, all Pleasantville businesses are invited to submit one nomination for their choice of Pleasantville Business Person of the Year. In the second step of the process, Chamber members have the opportunity to select the winner from among the top contenders.
This event offers an opportunity for businesses and residents to welcome autumn and come together and celebrate community. There’s an assortment of local vendors, local foods and live music. Chamber members are invited to participate. The event takes place the first Saturday in October. Wheeler Avenue between Manville Road and Bedford Road is closed to vehicular traffic from 2-10 p.m.
Certificates of Appreciation are awarded to Chamber members for improvements and contributions they made to the Village of Pleasantville.
Our online directory is an excellent resource containing current Chamber members and their contact information.
Some prospective clients may only know of your business through social media, so maintaining a strong presence is vital. Chamber uses social media to promote its members news.
